Create/OS Droplink

Droplink is our example of how to create a modular fan engagement music dApp using the CreateOS Smart Contract Protocol. It enables artists, managers and record labels to capture their fans at the source of when their music goes online and continue to engage them over time. When a fan of any artist using Droplink connects their wallet, they are instantly added to the Artist’s FanList Smart Contract.

For speed and cost, FanList is deployed on the Polygon network. Each artist owns their contract, and a corresponding decryption key to view their fan information.

The primary goal of the FanList is to capture a wallet address and contact information (ideally a phone number) for each fan, and provide utilities for artists to contact them for the purposes of a specific campaign (like a song pre-save), or for reward mechanics like an airdrop.

Some basics on how the flow works:

• When a fan connects their wallet, the FanList assigns them a unique ordered index and stores their encrypted contact information, time of joining, and which campaign they joined with. Only the artist has a key to decrypt fan contact information.
